DO NOT LEAVE TOOLS LAYING AROUND!!!!

I will make use of them!

It may be the early days of fall, but I finally have gotten around to making an awning for over my kitchen window.  Not a craftsman by far, but it does the job.
I also cut and painted wood windows to replace the broken glass.
Only one was broken, but two is needed to make it look balanced.  I was tired of the cats breaking through the screens looking like the Clampets. I guess the pics show the screens a little more than when you have it in real life.  I can't seem to pull it tight enough.  I sprayed the sills again too when I painted the wood for the kitchen window. Tom and I transplanted a bunch of flowers and bushes from Mom and Dad's place.  We planted them when they were calling for rain.   Then it didn't.  Luckily, he had bought two large plastic containers with the thought of reserving water.   We cart them around on one of the tractor wagons we have and water the new plants that way.
Some don't look so good, but I am hoping that it is because of stress and they will pull through. The hydrangea looks wilty.
  The tulip tree, dead?
This one, the one bush Tommy and I had a hard time finding a sucker to pull out.
I am hoping that it will make it.  It is one of the plants that have traveled through time and relatives homes for decades. It is hard to see, but there are three rose  bushes spaced evenly across. They are the brown leaves, of course.
When Tom and I brought them home we did lots of digging and cultivating new gardens.   The pressure is on.  These black-eyed susan came back full this year after being there for two.
So nice and bright! This yucca plant I put in yesterday.  I had put the plow on and dug up the dirt, hauled two large wheelbarrow full loads of manure and ran the rototiller through it for a long while.   I hope to get the iris transplanted when the heat tapers back off.
I did find a few bad tomatoes despite lack of rain.  I hope they all aren't like that!
And the next best thing to a good deal is a free find!  I was headed into town and saw these sitting along side the road.
They are electric, but will be good either way once they are cleaned and painted.

And of course,  two days ago was the first anniversary of the Little's!
