Some place nice to get stuck in....

Glad that Tommy has a job but driving back and forth is killing me.
A little bit of a load has lifted from me as Tom has agreed to sell Tommy the blue car.   He is not saving the money and cannot get a good used one, so he is left to buy the  buick.   It runs and is inspected, but has issues that can cause grief.  At least I will not be running him back and forth and trying to get to the Big Town to take care of the house.
The rain is coming in the roof of the barn really bad.  It all flows to the middle of the barn.  The metal tread way Tom put in  works somewhat on the sides, but it is awful.  Jess surprised us as we drove in one day.  There sat a pile of rock to be put in the barn.  We have to do some work on the ground first to prepare it, but it's there ready and waiting.
As is the mudroom.   The whole window on the east side rotted out, then fell out.    Another thing that needs to be done asap. So much for building new.  Now it is just making do until next year.
Tom and I made it to the flea market  with a trailer full of things to be sold.   Just a mere dent in what we have stored, but all ready have made half of what Dad and Mom would have gotten from selling contents of Grandma Clouser's stuff a few years back.
Another eleventh hour project was the crawl space.   You can see how bad it is.

Ken came and helped put jacks that Tom made up under a new beam.   It lifted it almost 2" right from the start!
One of the things we brought from the house is the arbor.  I put it out in the nw corner at the entry trail to the woods.   I have the rose of sharon growing there and I put up a feeder and hummingbird feeder too.

And how a year flies!  A first anniversary for the Statkun's!
