Up and moving getting the cats squared away and tidy up the kitchen while getting a cup of coffee early in the morning.   I spent most of the day squaring away the things that needed to be done and preparing things for the evening for Jess.   Any less work later is better.
I headed in to pick up Tom at work, and as we entered the thruway we got the call that Tom's flight had been changed due to over booking.  He now wouldn't be in until at least 8.   We decided to head down anyway being the time work lets out, it would be crazy to get to the airport.  This way we could take our time.
Weather was in our favor as the sun was shining and the temps were in the low 20's.  I was afraid that black ice would be on the road.  Went under one of those neat bridges on the way.



 

Getting there early, we found it and circled back to the thruway a few exits.  Tom hadn't eaten so he was ready for some dinner.  I had eaten earlier thinking it would be a long night.   He found a Cracker Barrel and we just ordered some sandwiches.  
Back to the airport to wait.  It all worked out good time wise.   We were in and out within the hour timeline so parking was only a buck!   Always smilin' about a deal.
So back home, good nights sleep, and will be ready to deal with the day.
