Fourth of July! We decided to go to the races since Jess was working and everyone was going to be there. Ken and Sabrina even brought the kids. I forgot how fun it was to see cars go around and around the track ump-teen times burning all that fuel and making lots of noise!
Well, the fireworks weren't all the excitement for the night. We were coming home late since Jess had to close up. Ahead of us on the back road we saw a truck that was stopped. I saw a shadow cross back and forth behind the bed, the interruption of the lights. I thought that maybe someone had to much celebrating and was feeling a little ill in the ditch. Tom pulled up in his truck and lo and behold there was this little shivery thing under the idle truck. Jess jumped out and the people said it ran in the road and when they stopped it ran under their truck and wouldn't come out. Funny how Jess bend down and the little dog came right out. And away DROVE THE TRUCK!!!!!
So after two days of trying to find his home, L.B. (Little Buddy) is here.
I had been keeping him in Miley's crate to keep him safe and also to be sure he was house trained. He seemed to be doing very well. I was talking to a friend of mine and she ask why I was still keeping him in the crate. Either he would get along with the others or not. Hmmm, guess so. He gets along fine with everyone. Had a small incident with Jack over food, but other than that they all get along. In fact, he doesn't make any noise except when Miley plays fetch with her rope. He barks and chases her. Once in a while he can grab hold, but mostly he just jumps up and down in one place and barks.
Haying, haying, haying. It has been wonderful weather to hay. Not to hot, not to windy to put it up. I really didn't mind this year. In fact, it seems like we hardly have done any at all but yet we helped put up a lot of loads!
What better way to reward yourself than ice cream!
