Christmas being only days away, I thought it might be a good idea to decorate the cookies. So I began to set up the assembly line. I have learned from past years it is better to do cookies in stages and it is more efficient, but not always timely. I had made up the dough one day, baked the next, and now am putting on the frosting. Santa's, snowmen, cream cheese wreaths. Not nearly as many as years past but clearly enough for our ever changing holiday plans.
While I was busy doing the frosting, Jess and Collin were finishing the tree. I had it up for a while now, but only with lights. Looked o.k. to me, but with her urgings I let her open the horrendous black trunk and pull out all the decorations. A little hard to imagine Christmas is coming when you have the windows cracked and the grass is green. Tiny is enjoying the fresh air.
