We had our 18th wedding anniversary this week. A simple card was sufficient. I had to report for jury duty that day and Tom had to work. Any plans for the evening, even going out for a small cone fell through as it was so stinking hot, and Tom was working late. It became even later as he called me to come get him. Seems his tire blew out half way home and he needed a lift back to work to get the spare. The wonder of wonders is that he picked out tires earlier that day, but they couldn't accommodate him until the following. Naturally.
My turn to pull roots out of the sand. Doesn't look as bad as I first thought. Being hot, the sand stuck to everything though.
Jess and I went to a women's dinner at church over the weekend. The tables were decorated with these favors. They had chocolates on the back to make them stand up.
I was worried after the hail storm that the seeds were washed away or surfaced and the birds ate them. But it looks like the yellow beans are all that are missing. My asparagus is looking good, and the honeysuckle smells wonderful!
