SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GARDEN AT MUDDYBOOT ACRES?
you slip and slide while fixing fencing and then "PLOP" right in the muddy crap.
The good thing is, the fencing is done and now I can start working on this years bedding.
With the weather giving tantalizing breaks of sun and warmth, I get the itch to get out there and do my thing. I like toearly and have the option of quitting at noon when it starts getting to warm. I started the day with chores, then moved to getting all the fallen logs from the front of the house picked up and moved. Jessalyn started the tractor up for me and drove it around the yard while I picked up the tree logs and branches that made such a mess over the winter. One load we took back and lined some of the path with, some I stacked over the side for burning later, and the twigs went out back for brush fire back there.
Tommy came out and helped cut a few limbs down that were in the way, and then he helped rake up leaves around the trees. It wasn't that bad this year. I took some of the piles over to the garden and put between the tires for mulch. Mostly over that mucky mess so that I can walk there. After dinner Tom and I went out to run the dogs and finish up the leaves around the pool area. I didn't get a chance to move those, but I did rake some more under the pines and move that stuff to the low ditch area that runs through there. Hope to deter the bugs there this year.
