Some place nice to get stuck in....

It has been a very busy ten days. I keep meaning to update the comings and goings, but something always is pressing for my time. Let's take it way back.
Ken moved back in the 19th, bringing some of his things. Many things went to storage. It seemed to make more sense that he come back rather than starting back to work and paying for a place for only a few days of the month.
We didn't expect the pleasant surprise he did for us. He took the 100# tank and filled it for us. We didn't need it at the time, but it sure was ready last Sunday when I wanted to take a shower for church and all Tom had to do was go and change the tanks. That was great!
He has helped out by being a taxi once in a while and easing the big stress of not enough wheels to go around. Two people working, college, activities for Jess.
He is getting ready to go back to work soon if the weather stays fairly decent. He went out and bought himself some new tools he will need.

Jess had off Presidents Day and went dress shopping with her friends. There was to be a dance at the local high school and one girl wanted her to come. A lot of kids from church go to that high school so she would know a lot of people there. She went to her friend Tabitha's house to do her hair and get ready, then their friend Caleb picked up one more girl friend from work and they drove to the dance.

Since Ken had given us propane, Tom came in from chores one morning and decided he wanted to make raspberry muffins. They made about 10, and he told me that they tasted good. Well, I can see that they looked good anyway.

Because I can't just heat the oven for muffins, I set aside all other tasks and made apple pie, vanilla custard pie, coconut pie with graham cracker crust, and peanut butter cookies.

Rebekah has been calling about cars. Tom drove she and Jake out the other day to look at a four door. She took it out, talked it over with Tom,and then proceeded to do the paperwork. It is a tough market for used cars right now. Even mid sized cars. It is older, higher miles, but appears to be in good condition. So today she is to pick it up. At least she will get a couple days without snow or covered roads to learn to drive it. It is almost the same size as her Chevy.

Things are changing within the church too. Pastor Loren has announced his resignation. Now after Easter we will be seeing who will be replacing him. Tom and I are just sitting tight.
