Some place nice to get stuck in....

Saturday, Tom, Jess, and I managed to load up the car and take four bags to our local second hand store. It feels good to clean out some more things. We also stopped at the laundry mat to do two loads. I can't wait until Thursday when the repairman comes out to fix my washer. We have had problems with it for quite some time. All the computerized stuff. I wanted a simple washer. This one has been filling up, sitting, and then draining. There isn't any working around it, it locks it's lid and that is it. I have wasted a lot of water for nothing the last few weeks. So off to the laundry mat when loads get to big. I guess it isn't to bad because I visit the local consignment shop. I came home with a stand for my Topsy-Turvy doll. She had been rubber banded to an old milk bottle so she could stand up. She looks much better on the old breadbox now.

Saturday afternoon I had to bake pies for our Game Dinner that our church hosts every year. It made it so easy with my Canned Apple Pie. I don't have any more homemade lard, so I cheated and used box crust. Tom worked all day, so we decided that donating the pies were all we were going to do this year.

I drove by the church later that afternoon and saw that the snow wasn't that bad, so at least he didn't have to go to early Sunday morning so shovel. All most all snow is packed down now, just salting is all you can do until it warms up.

Tommy and Tom took off early to do that Sunday, and I figured I would just catch a ride with Becky to save gas, then come home with Tom. We were ready to go when we saw she had a complete flat! So I ended up driving anyway. After church Jake brought her home and Tom fixed the tire for her. Jake stayed for chicken that I had cooking in the roaster all morning. I had stuffed it with broccoli, onion, and red peppers, then laid chunks of potato around it. It was good, but I really wish I could get the hang of carving it up so it looks nice. Turkey is so much easier!

Jess went off to youth group where the youth continued their presentation on going to Mexico on a missions trip.
I see the snow is melting today, the wind is picking up, and they are calling for thunderstorms.
Women's Bible study is this morning, with sign class tonight. I hope the roads don't decide to flood!

Your lunch sounds really good. I can't carve meat well.

I sent you an email with the quilt pattern. Have a wonderful day.
