Some place nice to get stuck in....

I have been lazy about being up on making bread lately. I decided I better get on the stick and make some up before a riot breaks loose in the house because of store bought bread.
While I was waiting for it to rise, I thought I would try and run some pasta through a plastic hand crank machine I bought a long time ago. I used the noodle recipe I use for ravioli that calls for a little bit of sour cream. Well, the machine is going. Now I remember why I didn't use it more. What a mess! Oohy gooey. So I ended up rolling out the dough and using my fluted pie trimmer to cut strips. I hung them over a waxed paper cookie sheet to dry. Let's see how that goes. I was going to have them with the dinner last night, but they weren't quite dry.

I always get up early in the morning to start laundry because I have to span out how we use the water. This morning I started the jeans. When the load was done and I was pulling them out to hang them, look what I found

it appears someone left this in their pocket. The scary part is that it really didn't hurt it at all. It is pretty much in tact. Just imagine how it sits in your stomach ! Blech! Even though I run the wash cycle starting at 4 in the morning, pausing it, and not running the rinse cycle until almost lunch time, you would think that the well would be o.k. You would think that will all the rain we have had the well would be o.k. You would think that we would not run out of water. YOU THINK? So Tom turned the pump off all night and we are not doing laundry this morning. Tommy has an interview at 12:30 today so he has the water priviledges today.

I still have very tired eyes and hope to have a down day today, not moving very fast. Jess has school so that will keep it quiet for a while. I would like to get some wood closer to the house because they say we are in the downward spiral of getting colder air and snow again. I feel so tired.
