rainy days and good finds

A trip to the local second hand store brought some very cheap treasures for me this last weekend.  I found a grater, egg separator, can opener, cheese slicer, and of course a thermometer (which is slightly off unfortunatley).  I had hoped to use the thermometer for my cheese because it had the temperature ranges I needed without using two.  Still in all, each a quarter isn't bad.

So making cheese is getting better.  I think I had the temp to hot.  Look at this glorious cheese!

And to put on top for dinner was fabulous!

All this rain you would think that we didn't have problems with water.  Wrong!  No water at all Monday morning!  Tom feeling pretty sick was out in the rain trying to figure out why.  The water was there, so it must be the pump.

Becky had her first outing with the car alone  the other day.  She went job hunting at the local diner in town.

Meanwhile, here comes the well guy.   He cleaned out 4' of junk from the well, put in a new pump, and then we wait.   It is filling very slowly.  If we get what we had for recovery before will be great.  He is talking new well in the future.  That will be the 3rd one.   Oh, please let there be water for some time yet!

Great cheese. Glad it's working now.
How much did you make?
Wells and well work is so expensive. People around here spend thousands. Hoping you have an abundant supply for a long time.
