On a cool day it was nice to have someone else make good cookies. Rebekah was the designated volunteer. She made orange cookies from orange coolaid, and peanut butter ones too. She even took the time to make the fork "X" 's.
Something I usually don't bother with. I was going to have her frost the orange ones with icing an coconut, but they aren't lasting long enough for that.
I took the flowers that Becky gave me on mother's day and framed them, putting the card from her in the middle. I have it hanging in my hallway.
Once again, my picture taking skills show. Believe me, it looks better on the wall than on this blog!
I went out to the garden to find some plants missing. Eggplant, some cantalope, peppers. I don't know what happened to them. They were still rather small and I wonder if the birds got them? Well, I found a home that was selling plants for.30 and picked up more peppers, hot and green ones. I also bought some celery as mine just isn't growing fast enough to transplant. Tom came home with about 2 dozen more cantalope to transplant. I just am at a loss. Corn is coming up, but some of that came up missing and I transplanted the shoots and it only came up to one row. That won't do. I'll have to come up with more seeds. Carrots look good! Beans are finally coming up, but they sure don't look like pole beans. More like stubby bean plants. Take a look at the potatoes that are coming along.
Oh, and thanks to my sister-in-law for digging up some hasta. I devided it up and put it around three different gardens around the yard. It really brightened up the spots until the flowers bloom!

Ok, what is the secret??!!?? Her cookies are perfect. Each one is perfectly round and the EXACT same size. How did she manage that?
I don't know! She grabs a teaspoon full and rolls it in a ball, then we have a flat glass bottom that she pushed down the cookies with. She must judge it by the same circumference as the glass.
