Celebrating a birthday!

What a fire we had! Check out the flames on that cake! I guess 47 candles can really give off some kind of heat. We all thought we would make Tom’s birthday a little brighter by getting him lights to use outside and when he is working. Ken bought him one of those baseball visor lights. They work a lot better than one would think. Rebekah also found a flood that has different lenses. Fog, water, and nighttime vision. Pretty neat!

The best gift was the deer that he got when he went out. Really not seeing much, the guys were getting discouraged. This one came the last day in a herd of nine or so. Guess cleaning is in order for today instead of cookie making. I hope when Ken gets home he will tan the hides. He did that a few years back as an experiment. He did it the old fashioned way with borax. Turned out really nice! The next time he tried he used commercial stuff and it was a total waste. Stick to the tried and true!
