have a homemade chocolate shake! It tastes good after working on the flower gardens all morning. It is a hot one, but sitting here with the milkshake I know that there is a slight breeze because I can hear the tiny tinkling of the metal pipe windchimes that my younger son made me. Everyone thought they were to heavy, but when the wind blows just right I can hear them. They are up to three feet long and they sound neat.
I am thankful that the breeze is also blowing so that the animals are staying cooler. The goaties still have up there blue tarp shade, and the horses can stand in the barn. They are free to come and go to pasture, but they like it in the barn. I have heard of many people out west that are losing their animals due to the heat. A lot of their animals. The humidity can be right up there regardless of the actual degree of heat.
Funny, I don't hear many birds at all today. The sun coming out is to much for them, too.
School time is coming near and I may just pull out the books today and start on scheduling. It is a good thing to do when it is so hot. But the sunshine is calling me outstide...maybe after I get done pulling weeds in my sparse, wet, vedgie garden!
You know, the more I work hard, the more homemade milkshakes there are!
